Re: [SergentEng] New to group
Send a pic of the chopper couplers! I love the idea of different couplers apart from AAR couplers.
Not to go too far off topic but I have a 4-4-0 that I am planning on using some Link and pin

Dave;
I agree on the Kadee coupler looks. At 73% the H0 Sargents are fiddly close for 3/4 size in S. For a type D just file a bit on the knuckle.

Sharon and E couplers will interchange. There is also a +.100 shank E head coupler available on the website.
Just using E's will definitely change your opinion on Kadee couplers.

Group,
My name is Ken Neufeld. I model in Sn3. Wondering if anyone out there is using Sergent couplers in this scale/gauge.
Would also like to know if there are specs on these couplers. Couldn't

Early cars had the fixed drop box for HO height. Later cars have a removable spacer.

Designing for 3D printing
Just out of curiosity, can you point me to a good tutorial or two about designing parts to be printed in 3D by Shapeways? I've got some items I think might be interesting to try, but haven't a clue

Howdy:
I don't recall that Bachmann has the adjustable coupler box height; I do know that AMS (Accucraft) has the height to HO standard / adjustable to On3, and San Juan Car Co. excellent kits are set

I’ve been removing the flash with an X-Acto knife or scalpel, and fishing any walnut pieces out with a straight dental pick. I haven’t broken anything yet, but I’ve only done about 20 of them
