You have it precisely 180 degrees backward. :-) They're made by North American Railcar Corporation, and sold exclusively by Pacific Western Rail Systems. $34.95 (give or take depending on US/Canadian exchange rate) for 10 pair.

About 20 years ago, there was an article in (I believe) Railmodel Journal. It wasn't specifically about modeling magnetic air hoses, but had a caption in one of the photos that the modeler used cut up bits of refrigerator magnets as glad hands for his models. The thinnest (business card type) refrigerator magnets I've seen is 12 mil.

That may be another option. Look at the refrigerator magnet your pizza guy gave you. I bet you cold make a whole lot of glad hands for zero dollars investment!

Those are the ones! This size is almost the same size as an HO scale Glad-Hand. Use the un-plated ones. The Nickel Plated ones are almost impossible to paint or glue to! Use "GOOP" cement. Its the only thing I have found that will PERMANENTLY glue metal to rubber. The magnets polarization orientation is also important. To find this, use a larger through the thickness polarized magnet and place these little ones on it. Then mark a spot on the both of them that you will call NORTH. After that mark all the little ones using the same method. Then glue the little guys edge on the air-hoses with the Polar North mark always in the same place. They will work like a charm every time.

I model HOn3. I'm making my own magnetic
automatic air hoses using 1mm dia. round, flat magnets I
found on the internet from a guy the that calls himself
"THE SUPER MAGNET GUY". I attach them with GOOP
cement to some old NWSL Super Flexible Wire sheathing. It
was made out of Neoprene and without the wire strands in it,
it is REAL flexible. Its super fun to watch the air hoses
mate up! Once more people start to see these in action, they
are going to become real popular.

I want to use Sergent couplers with automatic air hoses. Both are magnetic so there could be issues.

I am using an I phone, not the best with Y Groups. Sorry if this is a duplicate item.

I too have the same problems with double shelf lock couplers that I bought pre assembled. These are the only one a that I've had issues with. I have at least 30 cars and 20 locos with them and they are fantastic couplers.

Maybe I should be a bit more specific on the loco coupler question. Will the Sharon stub shank work on Athearn Genesis and/or Bachmann Spectrum steamers?

Having said all that the Sergent coupler is a game changer and you will enjoy looking at them and using them.  Your friends will think you are nuts but humor them.
