Hello, I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana modeling in HO scale.
Has anyone successfully 3D printed plastic couplers? I read someone had the plastic shank but still needed to use at least 1 cast piece.

We here are a bunch of carryovers from the original Yahoo Sergent group. Frank used to drop in now and then. The Sergent Engineering website is still active with the couplers that are still being made

Andy,
Well,I thought I was correct, but then I checked the website and can't find products with either number. I still suspect they aare some variant of the Type E, given the system of product

Re: HO couplers
Andy,
They are both Type E, with different shanks to fit different HO drraft gear boxes. Which boxes should be stated in the descriptions on the web site.

Welcome to the group, Luther. The state of manufacture and availability of Sergent couplers is a bit in flux. What is shown as 'in stock' on the website is available, but come of the more modern

Group membership request
Interested in the group as an HO modeler who wants more realistic couplers. I've been using Kadee 5s in the past, went to 58s and 158s but prefer the look of the Sergent coupler.
