Castings!
I’m glad to see you are casting, any idea when you’ll be on the market? Do you have plans to cast interlocking? If so, when?
Thanks Tom

Re: Castings!
Very true!! Some products on Shapeways are total garbage because of the resolution lines in the final product. Your couplers look great!!! I’m all in!! How do I get some??

Greg,
Chris Cardinal is basically using the same process Frank did for the investment cast couplers. It's also the same process that Eric Xing is using at Inventive Models except

Re: Castings!
They look nice, but as long as the 3D print doesn't show up with it, I'm good with it. I've seen 3D prints with the lines of resolution and I don't like.

Castings!
So here are the results of today's labor. I see that I will have to run the flask a bit hotter when I pour, but otherwise great results.

Re: next step: investment casting!
Chris,
If your test couplers perform as you intend, then you will investment cast them in metal for fully operational couplers, just as Frank used to market,am I correct? If so,that would be fantastic

Some time ago on this forum I demonstrated how nitinol wire could be added to these couplers to enable self centering. The .005 dia wire simulates the Kadee whisker couplers action. These wires
