Give $5.50 and Help the Scottish Prisoners of War Society Get a New and Improved Website!

The Scottish Prisoners of War Society (SPOWS) has been given a great opportunity to improve its website through the generosity of a SPOW descendant, Toni Rome, and her business partner, Tereasa Guy, of Guy/Rome (https://guyrome.com/).

Toni and Tereasa are professional designers and website developers. They have offered to study our existing website and re-develop it so that it is more responsive to the needs of our members.  The new website will be re-organized to better house our research materials; will have enhanced search features; will be device compatible for mobile phones and tablets; and over-all be more user-friendly.

This is an incredible opportunity for SPOWS. Our website is the public face of our Society, as well as the “bricks and mortar” foundation for it.  The website houses all the current research relating to the Dunbar and Worcester prisoners and other related materials; and is a place for descendants, historians, researchers, and others, to meet and share information.

In order to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, we need to raise a minimum of $2,500, to subsidize some of the cost associated with the development of the new website.

We are all going through a difficult time right now and we understand that making a donation may be challenging, so we are only asking that you consider making a modest donation of $5.50. A $5.50 donation from at least 500 subscribers to our website and/or from our SPOWS Facebook and IO Groups will help us meet our $2,500 challenge!

How can we raise this amount of money with only 500 members? We now have 2,250 subscribers to our website and 1,412 members of our Facebook Group.  Yes, we can do this!

Please help us reach this goal so that we can take advantage of this great opportunity.

The easiest way to make a donation is directly through the SPOWS website, using the Donation Button.  Checks and Money Orders should be made out to SPOWS and sent to P.O. Box 1493, Tomball, Texas 77377-1493.

Thank you SPOW descendants!

Teresa, I just mailed a check today. I have been on this list for quite a while and really value the information that I have read here. Thanks!
