My Resignation.

Teresa (Hamilton/Pepper) Rust

Dear SPOW Descendants,
As of this morning my resignation as the Executive Director of the Scottish Prisoners of War Society is now in effect. The journey I started in 2007 up to this moment has been filled with lots of exciting discoveries and adventures. It has been, and will always be a special time in my life. It has been a pleasure getting to know so many of you over the years. While I am officially "retired" from the position I will still be working behind the scenes for a few weeks in transferring accounts and information over to the new guardians of the society. I will also be finishing up some editing on a few pages on the new website. Once done, I will continue to be a member of the Facebook group as a descendant of my two SPOW ancestors (John Hamilton and John Magoon), though no longer as an admin. I will stay in this Groups.io email discussion group where I can be reached in the future. Moving forward, please contact SPOWS President David Dunbar at David@... with any questions or comments. Toni Rome has graciously agreed to administer the website with her tech magic. If you like what you see in the new site and want to see the society continue to grow please consider how you can help! There are lots of ways you can help. New board members are needed and editors for the website for instance. Reach out to David Dunbar if you are interested.
With fond memories and with hope for the future!
Yours, Teresa Rust. 🙏

Teresa,

Thanks for all your hard work over the years. I haven't been on since 2007, but I remember when there were a lot fewer members.

Yes, many thanks, Teresa. The SPOWS has grown from only a handful of members in the Yahoo group in 2007 to 1750 members of the Facebook page! This tremendous growth has been largely due to all the work you have done on the website and elsewhere.
