I visited Rohr Park yesterday for the first time in almost 30 years (birding sure takes you to a variety of places!)

Although I did not find the Parula reported there, I did see the Black and White warbler, Townsend’s Warblers (2) and a Yellow Warbler. Numerous Ruby-crowned Kinglets. All of these small birds were found in the locust trees southeast of the third driveway (entrance to Lot C).

Mystery Warbler –  yellow below, gray on head, back and neck. No wing bars. Fairly long bill, long tail. It has been suggested that this an orange-crowned warbler……

The Grosbeak was very pale and washed out to my eye – the photo is much warmer probably because of the late time of day. Bill appears to be uniformly pale pink.

The tanager, grosbeak, sapsucker, as well as a nuthatch, were all found enjoying some small puddles between the railroad tracks and the fence.
