Made a quick circuit of Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery this evening. Really very quiet with few birds around. I made one last look around the east side "wall" area when up popped a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW perched on top of the wall! It appeared to be a first-winter type retaining some juvenile dark streaking on the underparts.
