Calliopes, Hermit Warbler glut, late-lingering stuff

Have still had a couple male Calliope Hummingbirds between Thurs and Sat, one in Coronado and one in residential Point Loma. Both Friday and today have certainly been good for Hermit Warblers along the coast, as I tallied 24 on Point Loma and 10 in the TRV. Also good numbers of Townsend's Warblers. And yet 3 or 4 more Olive-sided Flycatchers. Still 8 Pine Siskins in Jacumba on 6 May, when also still 20 at feeders in Pine Valley. Slightly late-lingering birds on the coast include a Least Sandpiper at the San Diego River mouth on the 8th and a Lincoln's Sparrow in Coronado on the 7th. Folks are reporting multiple lingering Gambel's White-crowned Sparrows through at least the 5th, and Golden-crowned Sparrow through the 6th. Still 275 Red Knots and 300 Western Sandpipers at the saltworks on the 7th, where also 10+ Wilson's Phalaropes continue. Single Reddish Egrets continue at both the San Diego River mouth and the J Street mudflats.
