Bullock's Oriole, etc Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, Vista

Exploring for the first time the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens in Brengle Terrace Park, Vista, this morning, we found a few birds of note. A Bullock's Oriole was on the edge of the Children's Garden and a Western Tanager was in the Jungle Garden. Also saw two Lawrence’s Goldfinches on a lily pad drinking water in the Lower Pond. There are lots of blooming coral trees and a nice variety of plantings in the gardens. The park itself has a variety of habitat including a riparian area. List for garden:

Kathy Aldern and Gretchen Nell
