The male Broad-billed Hummingbird in Carmel Valley was last seen by the homeowners yesterday morning, the 24th, but then not the rest of the day or today. This is actually typical of many rare hummingbirds visiting feeders, where they tank up one last morning and then depart, as many of them are daytime migrants.
If the bird returns, they will contact me. But it doesn't sound likely.
