Was at the Cove from 7:00-9:30. Much like yesterday but birds even further offshore.
Several closer-in feeding groups contained a total of 3 different brown boobies during that time. At 8:20 a masked-type booby was heading north 2 miles offshore. Too distant for species identification. I waited until 9:30 in case it circled in closer, but it did not.
The bathrooms at the Cove are being torn down as of yesterday. Estimate is 3 years to be replaced. Only real facilities now are at Children’s Pool. Otherwise it’s 8 porta potties to handle the Cove’s approximately 2500+ daily visitors.
