Coronado Pine Warbler, Oceanside CBC scouting

lehman.paul@verizon.net

The dull, female PINE WARBLER found in Coronado on the SD CBC on the 15th continued on Christmas Day, in the usual spot in the pines along Margarita Ave very close to 6th.

Scouting in the Oceanside CBC count circle on Weds and Thurs AM produced only a number of low-end rarities. On the 26th, there was a HERMIT WARBLER, Yellow Warbler, Mountain Chickadee, 2 Western Tanagers, and a Bullock's Oriole in southern Carlsbad.  And on the 27th, there was a Yellow Warbler and Black-thr Gray Warbler in southern Oceanside and a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in northern Carlsbad.
