Just a quick note about Flintkote:

Last evening (12 May, 1800) I walked Flintkote Ave. down to the Pride of Madera plant to see if the Calliopes were still around. They were not. Only an Allen's at that spot.

I found that people had come through recently with weed whackers. They had stripped the edges of the road and trail and even cut back that Pride of Madera plant. They must have done it late in the day before I arrived because they had not picked up the cuttings or even moved them off the road/path, except at the house.
