Lake Murray Wed. a.m.

At Lake Murray on Wed. a.m., 8:30 - 9:00, the wintering Green-tail Towhee was feeding in the general area where previously described, just south of the restrooms near the softball fields. This a.m. he (she?) popped out onto the edge of the dirt parking area only 50 feet or so south of the restrooms, in a group of White-crowns and CATOs. Also, a Horned Grebe was diving for breakfast in the Del Cerro arm, just off-shore from where the paved bike path ends at the gate. The Redhead ducks remain in the same area, too.
