Kitchen Creek, 4/21/17

I ventured down to Kitchen Creek today, hoping to see a gray vireo, but it was not to be. I heard one clearly, but never could locate it. Despite that, and the steady winds, I still managed to see a pretty good assortment of birds: many black-chinned sparrows, a rufous-crowned sparrow, a lazuli bunting, a canyon wren, a rock wren, several black-headed grosbeaks, and a Townsend's warbler. Quite a few hikers on the PC trail today.
