Rangeland Road, Lake Hodges, Sat. a.m.

At about 9:30 Sat. Morning an imm. Snow Goose was being observed by numerous birders on Rangeland Road, about halfway down the road in a field on the west side.  It was snoozing, so bill was hidden, but the amount of grayish tint on head and streaking on wings strongly suggested a Snow rather than the lighter imm. Ross’s.
The Rangeland Road Bald Eagle nest (near end of road, east side) was occupied by one adult (same time on Sat. a.m.).
The Lake Henshaw LewIs’s Woodpeckers were right where Brennan described on Feb. 22.
