Wed. a.m. in South Bay

A nice trifecta awaited me in South Bay this (Wed,) morning. The Eastern Phoebe was right where he's advertised, perched in a tree in the equestrian staging area 100 yards west of the Bird and Butterfly Garden; a brilliant male Vermillion Flycatcher was in the middle of the Sunset Ave. ballfields; and at the north end of the Tesoro Grove Park around the riparian area were a male Western Tanager (very little red on him), as well as a Hermit Thrush, 2 Townsend's Warblers, many OC warblers, and all the usual suspects.
