Bay-breasted Warbler - Doyle Community Park

Jay Desgrosellier

At 6:15 pm (9/20) there is a Bay-breasted Warbler in the pines along the southern border of the park near the backstop of the SE ballfield (about where the vireo was last week). It seems to prefer the western most pine and the tree just to the west. Also uses the small trees on the other side of the fence.

Expected Blackpolll, but no streaking on back, no dark line through eye, mostly whitish underparts with some bay color on flanks and prominent white wingbars on black wings. No eye arcs to suggest pine warbler. High, thin, tseet call note.

Good Birding!
