South Trails at the Bird and Butterfly Garden

Andrew N

The trail south of the horse parking lot is extremely active this morning with large batches of Warblers and other birds moving through the willows. Standouts include multiple Wilson's, a Nashville, two Black-throated Grays, a small group of Pine Siskin, a beautiful breeding plumage Myrtle, two very cooperative Bell's Vireos foraging together, and a Yellow-breasted Chat singing on and off.

A lot of the trash has been cleaned up but if you go down these trails watch your step as there was a syringe in foot incident recently as well as a very quick snake of indeterminate species that passed right by me.
