JSU is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant 30-40 hours per week.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant is chiefly tasked to provide administrative support by handling data entry, data base clean up, donor acknowledgment letters. The Administrative Assistant must be someone who is careful and detail oriented.
Enter new contacts into donor database
Enter donations and pledges into donor database
Prepare donor acknowledgement letters
Prepare monthly E-Newsletter
Create database of all possible Jewish teens and parents in schools with existing JSU clubs
Clean database data
Other computer/data related tasks as needed
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Knowledge and familiarity of Judaic customs is a plus but not necessary.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Strong desire to actively look for ways to help people.
