Shalhevet Women's Kollel-November 4th with Special Scholar in Residence

marthagins07

The Shalhevet Women's Kollel of St Louis will be welcoming our very first Scholar in Residence next Tuesday. Vera Wexler serves as part of the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus team at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was born in Chicago but spent the majority of her formative years in Silver Spring, MD. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2007 with a BA in Judaic Studies, English Literature, and European Cultural Studies because she didn’t want to limit herself to just one area of study. She then spent a year learning full-time at the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education in the Scholars’ Circle program. She subsequently continued her learning at YU’s Graduate Program in Advanced Talmudic Studies for Women, while simultaneously pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science with a focus on youth and children’s services at Queens College.

Please join us Tuesday evening from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at Bais Abraham Congregation, 6910 Delmar Boulevard. All learning levels are welcome.
