I found an American dipper at the state park just now. It’s hanging out along Knickerbocker Creek where the trail crosses. You can find how to hike there using a park map. I’m guessing the elevation to be about 750 - 1,000 ft asl. I had to wait around for around 20 minutes for the bird but the scat on the rocks indicated it was here. It was foraging very actively in the water.
