BEGINNER’S BIRD WALK @ MOUNTAIN HOUSE CREEK PARK & WETLANDS

Join San Joaquin Audubon member, Henry Koertzen for a beginning bird trip for people of all ages. We will start the bird walk at 8:00AM near the intersection of Main Street and Central Parkway (at the pond side of the road). We will be walking the dirt path, accessible by stroller or wheelchair.

WHITE SLOUGH WILDLIFE AREA FIELD TRIP

If you are interested in adding Black Rail to your BY2023 list, this trip is for you. They generally start calling spontaneously in spring, so with good listening conditions (low wind), we stand a decent chance of hearing at least one. (Sorry, but don’t expect a visual!) I have made arrangements to drive through the yellow gate so there should be less chance of vandalism. Even so, we need to keep the number of cars to a minimum, so plan to double up before you arrive at the yellow gate.
