New Yard Bird-Lewis’s Woodpecker!

Kurt Mize

I had another Lewis’s Woodpecker at the Stockton Rural Cemetery yesterday. Other birds of note included two Red-breasted Sapsuckers (FOS for me in Stockton), a Black-throated Gray Warbler, and a Western Tanager.

Good birding,

I’ve been reading Kurt’s reports about flyover Lewis’s and wondering why I hadn’t seen them.  We’ll today was the day, I had one in my oak tree this morning. It hung out for over an hour, not sure if it will reappear.

Other birds of note are three Hermit thrushes hanging out together, a Black-throated Gray warbler, Western tanager, and a Yellow-shafted flicker.

Good times!
