Julie will share the story of the ecological restoration at Dos Rios Ranch that has been completed over the past ten years. The program will include details about the process to design, permit and fund large-scale ecological restoration. In addition, she will show us the outcomes of restoration, from habitats for nesting birds and riparian brush rabbits to water conservation and carbon sequestration. Julie will also bring some of the updated climate projections for flooding that drive ecological functions in the river corridor, with some discussion about what valley residents can expect in the future for birds and other wildlife.
