Flood Road this afternoon
Ralph
I went out to Flood Road to look for the Sage Thrasher found by Amy Weiser five days ago. Sage Thrasher would have been a county bird, if I had found it, which I did not. But I did luck into a different county bird. About halfway between Waverley Road and Copperopolis Road I spotted a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK soaring and occasionally hovering to the east of Flood. I had good scope views but the bird was too far off for photos.

Thanks for letting me know that you have saw a rough legged hawk, so I can look for it with my Crane Festival tour.
