Friends,

It is with great sadness that I write this to inform sjbirders of the death early today of Terry Ronneberg.  He had been hospitalized for the past few weeks at Doctors Hospital in Manteca. Terry was an active member of San Joaquin Audubon for several decades, befriending many of us on field trips, membership meetings, and bird chases.  He was the dean of Tracy-area birders for as long as I can remember.  I had the privilege of birding with him both locally and internationally, always learning from his wisdom and enjoying his common sense and great sense of humor.  As eBird reviewer for the county, I will definitely miss his eBird reports from the Tracy sewage ponds, even after he and Jean moved to Manteca a few years ago.  He was a good friend and will be sorely missed.  

There are tentative plans for a memorial service sometime this weekend.  Once more is known, we'll post it here.
