Fort Mason Local Interest - Warbling Vireos, Western Tanager, Oriole

David Assmann

Two WARBLING VIREOS were in the Fort Mason Community Garden this morning. The garden also had a LINCOLN'S SPARROW and a NASHVILLE WARBLER. 2 young RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKERS were just outside the garden. An AMERICAN PIPIT flew over early in the morning, and a SPOTTED TOWHEE was on the west side of the garden.  A WESTERN TANAGER was in front of the General's House.  Two Coyote pups were under trees on the east side of the garden. Yesterday an Oriole was chattering in the garden, but I didn't get a good enough look to determine species.
