Barrows/Common discussion...A fitting farewell?
David Webster
I happened to be at MT. Lake when a female COGO flew in and immediately began lounging with the BAGO. Not the greatest photos, as they both hung out on the far north end, dozing, and making acquaintence, before taking off and flying to the north. A pretty good comparison despite the poor quality. Kinda seems unlikely they'll return, but who knows? d |

Sifting through more, I thought I might include this, to me, rather definitive differences.... Thanks to all who weighed in on this subject! David W On Fri, Nov 25, 2022 at 3:39 PM davisigno <davisigno@...> wrote:

Stunning comparative shots! Thank you David. Whether or not Lady B returns, I think she’s the first Barrow’s to stay for any serious length of time in SF in my years. I looked back over my personal records, and found these six prior sightings: 12/3/97, male at Candlestick 11/15/04, male flyby at Sutro Baths 1/30/06, female at Heron’s Head 1/26/08, male at Agua Vista 2/1/13, female at Candlestick 1/3/19, female at Sutro Brian Fitch On Fri, Nov 25, 2022 at 4:13 PM David Webster <davisigno@...> wrote:
