Tennessee Warbler and other sightings at Fort Mason

David Assmann

A TENNESSEE WARBLER was the highlight during a very birdy morning at Fort Mason. Other warblers seen include a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER, a WILSON'S WARBLER, a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER and 15 YELLOW WARBLERS.  Other sightings included 6 WESTERN TANAGERS, 2 HOODED ORIOLES, a WARBLING VIREO, 2 WESTERN WOOD-PEWEES and 4 PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS. A WANDERING TATTLER and a BLACK TURNSTONE were on the abandoned pier.  The garden had both a BEWICK'S WREN and a HOUSE WREN. A PEREGRINE FALCON was the only raptor seen.
