Have just returned back from 11 days out East, where I did the New
Jersey World Series of Birding and our team got 206 species in 24 hrs!
Now that I'm back, I thought I'd try to catch up on the migration I
missed here, and scrounge some leftovers from what you all saw in my
absence. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of looking (unsuccessfully)
for the Chat at Middle Lake before heading to Mt Davidson, where I
encountered a very happy Paul Saraceni on his way out, but alas, none of
his swifts!
Nothing to add to Paul's report at Mt D. except a couple of siskins. At
Middle Lake, a MacGillivray's Warbler and WW Pewee, and at w. Stow Lake
a Steller's Jay.
