The beach was almost devoid of birds (no gull groups). At the cliff house about 6 BLACK TURNSTONES and 6 SURFBIRDS were working the rocks below. By Sutro baths another 10 or more BLACK TURNSTONES

The north Fort Funston parking lot is closed as well, but as of noon today the parking lot at Sloat was open. It's only a short walk for those who want to experience real winter birding.
