This morning (Sep. 9), there was an adult male American Redstart in the willows at the east end of Pine Lake Park. It was coming down to the edge of the water inside the willows (perhaps to bathe?) ; I got off a few rather grainy pictures in the low light.
Earlier on Mount Davidson, a smattering of migrants included one each House Wren and Bewick's Wren, 2 Black-throated Gray Warblers, 4 Western Tanagers, and a Black-headed Grosbeak.
Earlier this week:
- Saturday, Strawberry Hill had 2 Hermit Warblers, a House Wren, and a Western Wood-Pewee among more regular migrants.
- Friday, a single Hermit Warbler was with Towsend's Warblers at the playground at the Potrero Hill Rec Center.
