Half Moon Bay Raptorama - Workshops, Walks and Keynote Dinner This Weekend!
The Coastside Land Trust is putting on the second Raptorama mini festival in Half Moon Bay this weekend. Lisa Myers, Bob Power, Bill Walker, and myself are giving workshops, and many birders leading walks from Sequoia Audubon Society. Dinner and Keynote by Glenn R. Stewart of the Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group. See below for details, and how to sign up. It will be fun, and weather so far looks good although it is too early to be sure. Come out for some great birding, art show, and camaraderie!

Raptorama this weekend!
Take a walk on the coast's wilder side with Bay Area bird experts. Learn firsthand about Coastside raptors and how to identify them. Tickets must be purchased for all Raptorama classes, walks and keynote dinner at Raptorama.org <http://raptorama.org/> .
Workshops feature Alvaro Jaramillo of Alvaro's Adventures, Bob Powers, the former Executive Director of Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society, Lisa Myers of Let's Go Birding, and Bill Walker, Santa Clara Valley wildlife photographer. Workshops are indoors and include topics such as raptor identification, photography, and children's birding.
Walks are outdoors, where small groups will explore local habitats. Walks will be led by State Ranger Nelle Lyons and other bird experts from Sequoia Audubon. Walks will be held at Wavecrest, Pillar Point Marsh, Pescadero State Beach, and Half Moon Bay State Beach.

Art Exhibit Opening Reception
Raptors in Art in conjunction with Raptorama, CLT Art Gallery presents our 2nd annual "California Raptor Show," opening on Friday, November 7th, 5-8pm. The exhibit features 26 local artists that have captured California's diverse raptor population through art. Media include oil, watercolor, batik, acrylic, mixed media, wood carving, and fine art photography. All art is for sale, show dates November 7 – February 13: Gallery hours are Thur & Fri 11am–2pm, Sun 10am–2pm and by appointment. Coastside Land Trust Gallery is located at 788 Main Street, Half Moon Bay. Free event.

Half Moon Bay General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) Meeting
The next GPAC meeting is November 13th, from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the Emergency Center (next to Ted Adcock) in Half Moon Bay.
