Catbird continues at SFBG

Allan Ridley

Spotted the grey catbird still in the Chilean section of the SFBG.
The bird was feeding on berries of the Photinia tree. Tree is full of gorging robins but cat bird was in lowest branches (12') visible from path next to tree's trunk, looking west where shrubs reach lower branches of berry-laden Photinia .
Nashville warbler also present in blooming bottle brush west of bathrooms.
4 Varied Thrush seen in mesoamerican cloud forest east of CA native garden. One was bathing in small stream under the dawn redwoods.
