Mac, can you connect two devices, such as a phone and laptop, to the Mumble server?  Can they hear each other?

Hi Mac,

You can certainly update Mumble to the latest version.  The latest Mumble client is 1.3.  However, it is unlikely the problem you are seeing is caused by using an older version.

Is receive audio working correctly?

If you connect two devices (phone/laptop) to the Mumble server, do they hear each other?

RigPi allows mumble users to connect but no longer hears user audio.  Audio is being sent to the RigPi Mumble Server and they show as being connected but when the red lips are active on remote phones or computers, they show only grey inactive lips on the mumble server.  Tried using backup of RigPi and still the same.  Nothing seemingly changed in the setup but rigpi no longer receiving any audio incoming data.

H E L P  or Maybe it is time to abandon RigPi?  Maybe if there is a way to update the Mumble Server but I am at a loss.

Howard, for those of us who purchased the MFJ1234 this year, are we going to have to pay for the version 2 image or will that be free? I received mine about the 7th of Jan.

Re: WSJT-X 2.2.0 decode performance on RigPi

tmeys,
I had tried an upgrade on my RigPi (MFJ1234) and when the memory was full it locked the system completely. I was helped to recover my RigPi and found out it did not actually do the update but screwed up and changed some of the settings. One was recording which I never set to record it was set to none. Now that it is running the decoding is not functioning at all. I will get a great signal receive strength and no decoding so I guess I will have to wait until this new release comes out. Even if I select decode I can't get it to change colors. Sometimes it flickers the funky blue color but that's it. This was all my fault and nothing with Howards equipment nor his code. My bad but learn from our own mistakes.

Hi Ron,

Just to confirm, you are using the PTT button on RigPi, not the PTT button on Plumble.  RigPi PTT shouldn’t have anything to do with Plumble/Mumble.

Hi David,

So long as you are using additional images for your own personal use, I don’t see a problem. No need to purchase additional cards/images.  Thanks for asking!

Note you can use multiple accounts in one RigPi.

Update:  I got a response from wsjt-devel that they have "tweaked the Fast decode settings for the next release".  Will report back to this thread when that release happens on how it works with my set-up.

Android PTT not keying rig

Ron Thomas

Hope somebody has seen this before and can tell me a quick fix.  I suspect it has something to do with the difference between Pumble and Mumble.  I have control of my K3 through the Android phone browser and good receive audio through the pumble application.  When I press the PTT button the button turns red and the radio tuner says it goes to XMT but the receive audio is never interrupted.  It's like all indications are the radio is going into transmit but it is not.

If I use my laptop to control the radio, I can transmit and receive audio both ways just fine.  But, when using my Android smart phone, I only get RX audio and no TX audio and when PTT is asserted, the RX audio never stops.  As near as I can tell the only difference between both setups is pumble on the smart phone.  So, I suppose I have a setting missing someplace in pumble.

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess I should be more specific.  I am looking for the process (listener) within RIGPI that is listening on port 12060 for the N1MM formatted UDP packets being broadcast by WSJTX.

Re: Feature suggestion

You can use most any cheap Web Cam to do the same thing on the RPi. If you have or can find an old Logitech C210, it works great.

I use one on a Octoprint RPi for my 3D printer.

Subject: [RigPi] Feature suggestion

I've got a feature suggestion, I use a raspberry pi to control my 3d printer remotely, and it has a pi camera connected with a long ribbon cable to watch the printer.
It would be a very nice feature to have an optional live camera view of the rigs waterfall.

Hi All,

My pleasure to share my little ugrade. In fact, I'm not a python programmer, I'm just following receipt I found and adapted from internet to do what I wanted to. Any new suggestions based on this, please feel free to comment and share!

Also I desinged a 3D printed removable arm that use two of the original Yaesu FT-991A lower cover screws. You also need to adjust the focus of the pi camera at this so short distance. You do this by unscrwing the lens on the Pi Camera until you get a clear view. I have adjusted my focus and distance to get the entire viewing angle of the Pi camera to cover my entire FT-991A display. Finally I have a personal DNS so I can have the stream content from anywhere from an internet access.

I hope this could help!

Re: vnc vieuwer

Howard Nurse, W6HN

Hi Harry,

A VNC server is installed and running on the RigPi Raspberry Pi.  To connect you need a VNC Viewer on the device/computer you are using to connect.  You can download viewers for just about any operating system from the RealVNC site.  Since you will be connecting to the RigPi VNC server you do not need to sign up for their VNC Connect service.

Hi Ron,
