The important thing is that two programs can't connect to a radio through the radio's USB port.  Hamlib allows you to use a special radio, NET rigctl, to share radios.  If RigPi is controlling the radio, you can use the NET Rigctl option in WSJT-X to control the same radio.  The advantage in controlling form RigPi is that WSJT-X logging can then be passed through to RigPi's log.
