Re: connection to remote computer

VPN is not meant to provide port forwarding. It is meant to provide a private connection to a device that is logged in to that VPN account.
So, for your use, you would load the Express VPN client onto the RigPi and configure it to log into your Express VPN account.
There is an article on their website about how to do that:

https://www.expressvpn.com/support/vpn-setup/app-for-raspberry-pi/

Then, you would also install an Express VPN client on the device that you wish to access the RigPi from, such as a smartphone.
Once both of those devices are logged into your Express VPN account they will be able to see and access each other as if they were on a private network.
No one other than clients that are logged in to your Express VPN account will be able to see or access them.

Have you already loaded the clients onto your selected devices and logged them into your Express VPN account?
If you do that, there is no need for port forwarding and you will find that this is the most secure way to access your RigPi remotely.
