Audio Hats

Anyone have a favorite audio hat compatible with Pi 3?

Looking for one with headphone jack ... ease of installation (g) ... not entirely ham-related - would like to listen to
music, too.

I don't know how discerning your ears are in terms of fidelity, etc. but this one is reliable and well in the "GOOD" class:

If you're willing to go into the $50-100 range, there are a lot of products but make sure you already have great to fantastic headphones first.

Interesting hat.  Shows out of stock on that link.  Do you know when they were last available?

These sound cards are quite popular and thus they come in and out of stock all the time but they do come back,  I would recommend check back every week or two.

If you're not willing to wait, I have a list of other possible cards where some are also I2S-based,e tc:

All of these are listed to support packet radio and I have no idea how good their fidelity might be in terms of using higher end DACs, better noise filtering, etc.

Clint - there are a bunch, I got into them a bit more when I was playing with RPi high fidelity music players.  This was a couple of years ago.

JustBoom has a nice one that fits on the PiZero form factor.  Looks like they still make it and some audio hats for the Pi3 and presumably 4: https://www.justboom.co/   They may have US vendors as well as UK.  I have a nice full size hat made by IOaudio.  Can't find a URL now.  HiFiBerry was another recommended vendor:  https://www.hifiberry.com/    The Pi3/4 hats may have pads or headers to extend the remaining GPIO pins for other uses.

Oops.  Not a hat.  Sorry.   Still good soundcard devices.
