Power loss SD card corruption prevention
Seems the Raspberry PI's aren't quite so robust... I've had two (of five) get fubar'ed and need a rebuild while doing a "clean" shutdown. It appears the common issue is the external HD USB drive. This

9600 Baud TNC for RPi?
What are folks planning to use for radios? That's the hard part of 9600 baud. Discriminator flat audio is required instead of speaker audio. Has anybody actually used Dire Wolf or the equivalents like

How about sending the same 'data' from the file as 9600 baud IP datagrams... Bill

Raspberry Pi model B+
Hopefully that's the same combined cable used by many modern, but not HDMI modern, devices like portable DVD players. This will eliminate a couple adapters and a small jumper to make the cable between

Both are good solutions - but what if you had to get a radio today? What options are there?

Case for RaspPi and TNC-Pi
Here's one that apparently has room for the TNC-PI. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B88ANKU/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00 Unfortunately most of these cases are plastic and not a nice RF shielding met

Broadband-hamnet?
Do you have some local friends or acquaintances working with BBHN-MESH? That's the best way to get started. You'll want at least two other mesh 'nodes' (RPI, Ubiquity or WRT54G) to make it really play

Can this be a RPi upgrade??
Isn't it generally advantageous to use external USB sound devices with radio applications? In that case even the RPI can often play along. The integrated sound in the PI has worked well for me on movi

What program do I use to do keyboard to keyboard packet radio with the TNCPi and Raspberry Pi?
The 'keyboarding' that was always a lot of fun in the old packet world and I miss these days is the conference chat modes. Look at either the CHAT program of the BPQ tools or the native Linux AX25 too
