Re: WSJT-X install helpon RPi3 model b v 1.2

Gary,

Try using this command to download the file with wget (you don't need sudo for this step):

Adding '--no-check-certificate' to the wget command will sidestep the checking of the certificate's validity. This is typically Not A Good Idea; however when visiting the web site hosting that file it appears its certificate is valid, so I think you're okay.

I don't know what that's really telling me for sure but I thought it might be something to do with our Verizon wireless router so I tried it on an ATT wireless router with the same results.

I'm at a dead end at this point of what to try next.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I take a hammer to this Raspberry Pi device.

Yes John, I'm using it exactly like you typed it.  Just tried a fresh OS disk that is what comes from the factory in a kit and had the same problem(s).  Still thinks there is an invalid certificate from Princeton.  Have not done any updates on the version of the OS yet.

Scott,

Take a look at this page -- it may have the solution for your "repository can't be authenticated" error:

Re: WSJT-X install helpon RPi3 model b v 1.2

This error is probably some other package you installed (or attempted to install).

You can run the install without getting the update / upgrade, but may not have other packages or dependencies

Hi Jerry,

Feel free to pass this discounted price list along to all interested parties that are involved with ARES, EMCOMM operations, SHARES, MARS, etc. We have good inventory on all SCS modems and can process orders at current prices until our current stock is depleted which will be about 3 weeks from now.

I followed OH8STN's instruction video. I'ts basically about issuing a couple of commands and editing two files.

sudo apt-get install gpsd gpsd-clients python-gps chrony
/etc/gpsd/gpsd.conf :
START_DAEMON="true"
USBAUTO="true"
DEVICES="/dev/ttyACM0"
GPSD_OPTIONS="-n"

/etc/chrony/chrony.conf:
refclock SHM 0 offset 0.5 delay 0.2 refid NMEA

chronyc sources -v
