I bought my cable from Hammadeparts.com (and ebay).

Works fine. I have not used it in a while as I created the setup for Emergencies
then packed it nicely ready to go out the door.

Rob,

I have a 40" Vizio TV I bought 11/19.  I had a similar issue with it not detecting an input signal.  Discovered the TV is just too smart and is picky about inputs with the default settings, but if you disable "CEC" under "System", then it works as expected.  Take a look at what's under "Menu" on your 32" TV and see if you have this parameter.

You need to use the 1200 port on the radio. The other is for high speed packet and won’t work with a TNC that isn’t made for it. Otherwise all is good.

Not all HDMI cables are created equal, try different cable. One of the locals here just found that out yesterday.

Running the pi with a 20 inch vizio tv out in the shop all is good. Decided to use a 32 inch vizio tv. No signal on the 32 in. When the 20 inch is on I unplug the hdmi cable Then plug into the 32 inch it works.....I did a reboot... then no display on the 32 inch......TNX

Thanks!  I will eventually figure it out. Knowing this will make it easier.  I’ve looked at a few basic intro to Linux YouTubes and read a lot of the info at the Raspberry Pi Foundation.   All that helps. The encouragement of yourself and others in this group help.

You're welcome.

There are two ways to run WSPR on the HamPi image "out of the box". One is to run the "wspr-pi" application in /usr/local/bin . The second is to run WSJT-X.

The SDRPlay is receive-only. You can not use it to send WSPR.

The SoapySDRPlay drivers have been installed on HamPi. This allows you to use the SDRPlay with GQRX and CubicSDR, for example.

HamPi is the successor to the prior image. It has newer versions of software and is also created by an automated build. It is overall better than its predecessor.

The .torrent file is used to download the HamPi image via BitTorrent. However, as you downloaded the HamPi image which is 3.8GB, you already have it.

Balena Etcher on Windows will flash HamPi to a microSD card "as-is". What is your error message?

By the way, from the included download file, "HOW_TO_FLASH_IMAGE.TXT", it says:
No matter if you are a Windows, Mac os Linux user, go to https://www.balena.io/etcher/ and
download and install Balena Etcher. This is the easiest program I can suggest to use.

1. Start Balena Etcher.

2. Click on Select Image and select the downloaded HamPi_v1.0.img.xz file.
   (If you got HamPi in a tar file, you'll need to extract the files from the tar archive first.)

3. Click on Select Drive and select your 16GB or larger (micro)SD card.

4. Click on Flash!

After several minutes, the flashing process will finish, and you can eject the (micro)SD card
and insert it into your Raspberry Pi and power it up.

If you want to add AP mode to the Raspberry Pi, there are a number of guides on the web to do this. I didn't do this to the HamPi image because it caused a lot of confusion last time. Most people don't want AP mode, so I'm setting up the image for the majority. Don't forget that in Dave's instructions for wifi usage you had to "killHotspot" or some such thing.
These were needed for the prior image, but not the current one. Download HamPi and there will be no need for this workaround.

Yes, the image supports the RTL-SDR dongle, as well as numerous other Software Defined Radios.

Ok guys here's the deal.
He downloaded W3DJS 2.0 NOT HamPi 1.0
In that project there was some work around needed that required you to stop a service in order to get WiFi to work.
The thread that contained the instructions on that had over 10,000 replys so not sure how to get at that right now
