The 4 conductor plugs are on eBay.  I bought several a year ago for use with my Yaesu FT-60 HTs.  I found the good shielded plugs The plug is also used on some iPhones so they are out there.

As for the GPIO connections... The first 26 pins have not changed.
As long as your header matches up with those pins you will be OK.
