Re: [LRMRG] Eunice question
Here's an image of the Frisco depot in Eunice LA back when the MP line was originally
part of the Frisco. Rock Island also used this depot--at least in 1910.

Re: [LRMRG] Eunice question

Here is a 1919 copy of the Louisiana Railroad Map. Note that Eunice was served by the MP, T&NO, CRI&P and the T&P. I am also including copies of the first USGS maps of the area, the 1935 planimetric maps of the Eunice and Redlands quads, which clearly show all 5 railroads. So far as I am aware, all of the railroads interchanged with each other at Eunice.

Hi. Is there any good online map resource that I can use to tell where the abandoned railroads that once reached Eunice, Louisiana, were in relation to that area today?
Also, did the Rock Island interchange freight with the SP in Eunice? Thanks. James

Re: Amtrak's Least Used Stations
Gene Poon
Several of his "least used stations" were served by triweekly trains only, in the timeframe he uses. One is seasonal-only. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Altus, OK!!!!! Ohhh, wait… Sorry we don’t have that brand name coming thru here…. I was thinking that the Quanah Express (QE) from STL, MO which meets with the TZ (FTW - DEN) fame in Quanah, TX! ….but, just that it only exists in the mind of a modeler who has that imagination that it would have been nice. 😊 What a thought and concept. Trick or Treat book special
texaszephyr
I have six copies of my "Passenger Trains of Texas - Rock Island" book that have extremely minor bumped corners on the book cover. All are still shrink wrapped but experienced minor damage during shipping. Other than the minor bumped corners there is nothing else wrong with them.
As a result I'm offering these for only $45.00 each and that includes shipping and sales tax. Please keep in mind that there are only six copies. If interested please contact me direct off list and reserve a copy. These are NOT listed on my website. Payment: Personal check or money order only. No credit cards and no PayPal. When these six are spoken for that's it. The list price is $59.95 plus $6.00 shipping, plus 8.25% state sales tax. So here a way to save $26.39. Please contact me direct at texaszephyr@sw.rr.com if you want one of these slightly bumped books. TZ
