There are two former New Orleans Public Service power plants in eastern New Orleans, the A.B. Patterson plant just north of U.S. 90 near the west end of the CSX GENTILLY YARD, and the Michoud Plant, along the Intracoastal Waterway near the Paris Road Bridge.  There is also the former Louisiana Power & Light Nine-Mile Point Plant on the west side of the Mississippi River, between Westwego and Avondale, but that won't help most of New Orleans.
