Who made the Jerome and Thoth fonts?

Somehow I’ve got a copy of the Jerome font. It has Quikscript letters in the ISO-8859-1/Windows-1252 block, not in the Private Use Area. I have some plans to display it on my site, but I’m disinclined to do anything more than the bare minimum if I can’t get clear licensing from it. Does anyone know who made it and if this person is available to re-release it under a clear open-source license like the Apache License, version 2.0?

Same question for Thoth.

Thanks in advance,
Nathan

Nathan,

Jon Zuck created it, and while he didn't explicitly give it a license, it seems he's pretty permissive about its use (I found someone else asking the question back in 2002)

Thanks!

Opening one of the Thoth TTF files in FontForge reveals that it was made by a Paul Tremblay and released under the SIL Open Font Licence, which is the most common licence applied to free and open source fonts.

Both of these fonts are still hosted here at Groups.io now, by the way :-)
