Which qsi decoder

I purchased an Atlas gold ho scal locomotive.

After opening the shell, I see the sound decoder is missing.

Does anyone know what qsi decoder was originally used in the model?

Hi,
If you want to use a QSI decoder they are available from QSI industries they are located in Portland, OR. I would install a sound decoder from any of the other manufactures. Unless you're familiar with the QSI decoders and have JMRI programming is not easy.
If you have any more questions please PM me,

Whatever decoder was in there was an OEM model so you can pretty much choose whatever brand is your favorite. Measure the space and see what will fit.

I have 2 Atlas gold FM train masters, they came with QSI decoders. I swiped them out for ESU select decoders. You can put in whatever decoder you want but remember to remove the  2 capacitors soldered to the motor.
