Re: Rule 17: Was - Old, or new loco sound - way to diversify
As I have come to understand it, both front and rear headlights are turned on and off manually and switched between dim and bright manually - no automatic light changes when you change

Lee,
I think we all understand your enthusiasm for the new Titan Decoders; I
admit you have sparked my interest. As you have said they will be orders of
magnitude better than anything currently

Actualy Berry,
There are up to 8 mics stratigicly placed on a locomotive at one time, so I
can give you sound from all over the locomotive. Inside is just one of them.

Rule 17: Was - Old, or new loco sound - way to diversify
Ken,
Would you explain Rule 17? I know it has to do with the light function when stopped/parked on a siding or main, but I'm just sure how the light works for "rule 17".
I also have a HH660 and

I certainly hope you are wrong about your last sentence; won't do any of us or QSI any good if they can't make enough decoders to meet demand!

That was one QSI Decoder "INSTALLED". Have many more factory installed units. When $$ permit I will be replacing them.
Everybody seems to have missed an important part of this note. This feature

It would be interesting to set the distance ratio in a prototypical fashion.
The Horn/Whistle is a predominant sound, much louder than anything else in real life. In all instances, it can be heard

Hi Lee,
That may be the case with some diesels
Today. But it also very much dewpends on where you are and the type.
I made some tape recordings in the 1980's on the LS&I climbing upgrade from the ore

Actualy Colin,
QSI has already thought about that, and I'm sure you'll love it.
I also agree that most all layouts are too loud.

Noise Suppression Capacitors on an Atlas locomotive
I noticed that the QSI equipped Atlas MP 15 locomotive I have has a noise
suppression capacitor attached to each motor brush.
I know they recommend removing these on Bachmann Spectrum
