I have completed the build of QMX #008! Now the search of the shop to locate a 12V source to power it up. I've read the concerns of not exceeding 12V - and the 13.8V on the bench is too high. SLA batt

Soliciting help on 10W Linear PA
#10W_PA
I built 2 of the 10A Power Amplifiers and in testing I managed to fry both of them. For testing I connected the input to an RF signal generator (BK-Precision E-200D) and the output to a 50Ω resistor.

Hello, Does anyone know the part number I could use to find the right 47uH axial inductors used in the QMX? I need to get a few more. The ones I was able to buy from Amazon turned out to be too large.

QMX 20m Sensitivity

I did comparison BPF scans of my QMX (rev 1) with my QDX (rev 2, f/w 1.4). QDX scans look good, QMX okay on 80, 60, 40, & 30m, but poor on 20m. Readings pretty much match my CW estimates of sensitivit

Is it possible to brick a QDX?
I've built three QDX units so far and they all work fine, but now I've hit a snag on #4. Rev 3a PCB, I removed the short at the very beginning of the build. Built for 9 Volts. Power-on with a 7.5 Volt

Awesome little radio. Made a few FT8 contacts and some local CW exchanges…. There’s a lot of magic in that little box! Just the big knobs to contend with……maybe I can borrow little knobs from my QCX?
