Ahhh...another day in "Pending Delivery" purgatory...

KI7MWA

Today my shipment made it from Belgium to Chile!

...and...now...Brazil!  Talk about International shipping!

Most recent surface mail order arrived yesterday, the order placed before that is still "somewhere". However an order selected to come via TNT was here in 24 hours, amazing!

Jamaica!

Woo hoo!  Cleared customs (apparently...and in the US, I presume), though its current location is "Tba"...

KI7MWA

Houston!

And so, the saga ends.  A story of international shipping in the Year of our Lord, Covid-19: Gaziemir to Pendik to Grace-Hollogne to Santiago to Campinas to Jamaica to Houston to Western Washington, in 11 days.  Whew!

So, Gordon... your soldering iron must be nice and hot by now, then (hi)

Enjoy your build !

Hans does a great job of shipping kits out of Turkey, I have had three and a half orders delivered so far. What is still in the ordering black-hole is the Ultimate 3/3S case that ships out of China.

My original order was;

Order ID: #35222
Date Added: 02/05/2020

I am coming up on six weeks, waiting for the box. That seems to be the delay; when its outside of Hans's control.

You missed out the first part of the journey! Gaziemir is in Izmir, Turkey's third largest city. To get there it has to travel first from Dalyan to Marmaris by road, then Marmaris to Izmir. 300km by road!

Glad to hear it arrived OK though a bit on the slow side. Some people are lucky and get it in only a few days!

Trish I hope your enclosure gets to you soon. There do seem a few delays on stuff coming out of China

You're not alone in that- I'm currently about the same (ordered 04 May). Mine is "en route" but hasn't moved since the 15th of May. Not Hans's fault in any way, and given the state of the world right now, maybe not even the Chinese postal system's fault, but still - frustrating.

Same here.  Left China May 1st.  Still cruising the ocean somewhere.

I placed my order for a U3S, with case, on 10/5.  I had to wait for my kit to ship, until June 2, while Hans waited to receive his shipment of Si5351 boards.  Then until yesterday while TNT and Fedex figured out how to get it all to me.

The case from China, on the other hand, went out on May 12 (seven days after placing the order), and arrived a mere 10 days later, with no special shipping.

I suppose we should be thankful that we have lived (note past perfect tense) through a time when we could demand "next day delivery," and expect to get it.

Hans,
The most recent order I placed with you for a few additional filters and a filter relay board arrived amazingly fast.

I am going to convert one of the filter boards and populate it with 2.54mm machined header pin sockets; I want to experiment with low pass filter design at 160 and 620m and try out different ferrite mixes, winding techniques and Litz wire. If it is all socketed I can change components without soldering. Then I can put the filter board on a test jig and attach it to either the VNA or a sweep generator feeding a 40 dB power amplifier to look at insertion losses.
